I don't want to start a new discussion on emulators, I just want the following info.........
Has anybody used the EGR Emulators supplied by AutoCode on a 2.7 TDv6 (09 D3)????????? I would like to hear your review before I purchase.

I've got an '08 TDV8 that uses the exact same emulators (no difference in parts between TDV6 and TDV8). Only been on a month. I have an occasional EGR low error on bank B, but the code stays on bank B even after I swap the emulators so it appears to not be them... still working that one out. BTW, my EGRs have been completely removed and blanked. All bits sitting in a box in the shed.

I also have a tdv8 with emulators. Nil issues from day one, just plug and play.

Same as above comments re TDV8.

Update: on my mobile device I could not see that they offer emulator for tdv6 07-09 when you check the website properly.
++
But website says only tdv6 until 2007? My understanding is you could delete / blank the EGRs in these without a fault light.
The whole point of emulator was from 2008 onward?

What do the emulators cost ?, BAS EGR delete file uploaded via GAP tool is only GBP150 and $35 for the blanking plates.

I'll +1 the BAS delete (I got the DPF mapped out at the same time), although I've noticed some odd off-throttle behaviour after the BAS EGR delete.
You probably wouldn't notice it in an auto, but it can get a bit annoying with a manual. The throttle seems to "hang" for a while after you get off the pedal, making gear change timing a bit more interesting (foot off the throttle, count to 2 and wait to feel the power drop, clutch in and change). You also get the "Back out towards the end of the driveway, vehicle coming so clutch in and foot off the juice and the engine roars its box off for 2 seconds until it settles back to idle". It never did it before the EGR delete.
Unfortunately you *need* the EGR deleted if you have the DPF delete, so I couldn't use the emulators even if they were flawless.

I had those emulators on my D3 2009 2.7tdv6 got 2 ks down the road and dropped to the bump stops got home disconnected them car back to normal plugged them in again same result after months of waiting in hope of a new model. This didn't happen so asked for a refund which was given
back to me. I don't think he has managed to get them going for my model. Other people have had success. My early 05 D3 I put blanking plates on which worked great, but my 09 is a different story.

Guessing you don't have, or intend to buy an IID tool?

My origanal set are still going ok with the P0402 code Low EGR but never courses a problem on my 2007 2.7 TD6 .

The early models don't seem to have the problem it's the later euro vehicles that do. What model vehicle is he testing on, would like to know. I have found If I am away and towing there is little to no build up in the electronic throttle body, but when at home doing short trips this causes a build of sludge up vey quickly. So before I do a trip I remove the electronic throttle body give it a clean and it's right for the trip.

Do you mean just the MAP sensor or the whole Y manifold?

Just spoke to Mark and he said that the updatted EGR Emulators are good for all Euro 3 and 4 2.7 TD6 & V8 Plug & Play ( Just not the 3Ltr ) . You can PM Gally ( Mark) as he still a member on Aulro .

Why does no one do anything good for the 3L? Where is the love?

But you dont need emulators for Euro 3 - just blank works fine.

The throttle body is the y unit it connects on either side to the EGR's I clean the Map sensor and the body. Simple job but very dirty job. The pipes that connect to the body from the EGR'S inside the body can become just about blocked from sludge so that the system struggles to works. So you need to clean the throttle body. I have had the y section with a build up of 3mm of sludge covering the inside of the unit as well as the MAP sensor with a pinhole of space into the sensor

Yep the Map gets some impressive growth it’s incredible it functions.
What’s best to clean out inside the removed Y part? Acetone, thinners?

Any pics of what the throttle body looks like?

Correct weight , but some people might just prefere the simple task of fittting the emulators instead of fitting the blanks for what ever reason [thumbsupbig].

For the home mechanic turps or kerosene is the best as thinners may melt the plastic, plus it is highly flammable so very dangerous to use.

But if your EGRs have failed in the open position, you have to blank anyway.

Correct , probably not such a problem now with older E3s as they are probably fading away , I was unlucky with my 2007 RRS in that it had a Euro 4 donk in it , Or not quite according to Pete at bell Auto services in the UK as it has a hybrid E4 but enough to stop just blanking as it will record faults and some cases go to Limp mode :censored: , as will the normal E3 but in the E3 the logged codes do not matter .

Hi mate I've also for a 2007 RRS TDV8 3.6l.. and just wondering which way to go to remove EGRs out of the equation.. do you think the autocode route is the best one for me with the emulators?

I found them to ok for my RRS Td6 , others have had problems . I probably would go the Egr delete form the ECU if you have anyone in Darwin that can reprogram it , if not the emulators are a simple way of doing it but you have to have working EGRs to start with so they can disconnected in the closed postion , then fit the Emulators thats all there is too it . I purchased emulators for my TDV8 on the website a week ago but have heard nothing since .. All emails seem to go unanswered as well :-(
Strange .. Maybe they're on holiday ? or just too busy to read emails ?
Any recent experience anyone ?

I spoke with Mark from Autocode this morning, got his number from Jordan Rovertech here in Perth (theyre across the road).
Autocode can be reached on 08 6107 2522
As per other posts, phone seems to work best....
My first impression was good.
