Smart charging system

Can anyone tell me whether the 2016 MY diesel Discovery sport with the Ford/PSE 2.2 engine has a smart charging system/variable output alternator?
If so, has anyone actually monitored one and can tell me how much the voltage varies between say acceleration versus deceleration?

Well, I can now answer my own question - only a year later! The PSA 2.2 engine DS should have a smart charging alternator, but mine wasn't working as such. All the dealer could do was shrug and say all the others of that vintage are the same. Except, at the last service they did an update to the BMS software, and hey presto! suddenly I've got a variable output alternator. Funny thing is the stop/start system is working properly now as well, which it hadn't done for the last three years!
