I have a 2017 SE 6 cilinder

Question : Do the blinkers in tail gate work.

Mine don’t and been told by LR they not connected. ????

Hi Jules,

Yes that seems correct, mine is the same. Brake lights too, work only on the sides not on the tail gate.

This appears to be a spec thing. In the SE (and probably lower spec as well) it works as mentioned above, but higher spec do have the indicator in the tailgate as well.

On my 2017 SD4 SE all the tail gate lights do work, but I do have the powered tail gate.
I was following another D5 today and its tail gate lights didn't work.
Strange.

Maybe you have the "signature tail lights" ? They are an option.

I purchased the car second hand and the signature tail lights aren't on my options list.
It does list "Power Gesture Tailgate".
TOPIx lists "Headlamps LED Signature" and "Tail Lamps - LED Rear"

Could be related to the powered tailgate - I don't have one. TOPIX also lists both "Headlamps LED Signature" and "Tail Lamps - LED Rear" for my car.

I have a sd4 18 SE. With powered tailgate, no blinkers on the boot lid. [bigsad]

Some weird omissions in the build.

Its like the cubby under the front cup holders, i don't have one on my car. Seriously must have saved L.R $2 leaving that off.

You have SE version as I did and it really peeved my off as the visibility for turn signals especially is extremely bad and I was just waiting for some one to rear end me. The brake lights are just as bad.
I purchased a set of LED Signature Led s form Rimmer Bros in the UK

Now,I have a double row of Tail Lights ( a win) and reversing lights but still no Indicators even though they are there . The wiring seems to be in to loom but it isn't connected to a major J box anywhere and also may not be programmed .

However, I purchased the OEM version and not the Genuine Version ,so if you are thinking of buying them and they were pretty reasonably priced pay the extra and buy the genuine as you maybe lucky and they may work straight of The LR service agent charges $200 per hour so if it works you will be much better of.

As for me I will have to do my own wiring and relays now to get the indicators to work on the tailgate.

I’m on the same boat - I’ve just bought an MY19 SD4 SE with the adaptive headlights and special rear lights, but the blinkers on the back still don’t work. On a similar note, I saw a white HSE on the road yesterday and the blinkers on the tailgate were working fine... Is there anything different on the HSE?

Yes, there is a difference - if you look in the spec guide, the HSE has Signature Hi-Line tail lights (064HF) which is a $340 option on the SE. However, I do not know if this difference accounts for the different behaviour/appearance.
