I noticed that in the recent auction in Bandiana that the land rovers had the lifting points shortened and cut off. Anyone know what this is about?

Hi James,
Various states have various rules in regards to protrusions on bull bars. Apparently NSW and WA are quite strict on this. All of the vehicles at Bandiana had both a Vic RWC and a NSW Blue slip. I assume that cutting off the lifting points was to make registering the vehicles easier.
Cheers,
GG

Tools and tool holders were also removed - but they were in the back of each vehicle so easy to add back later - didn’t notice to see if the lifting eye offcuts were there too.

I had to run out to SAPPER and promise him no one will ever cut his lift points off.
