Hello,

I am trying to source some input shaft bearings. Which is RMS12 or MJ 1.1/2 the only quality bearings I can find have a standard clearance. Are they okay to use? or does it have to be C3 clearance. From my research standard clearance would actually last longer but I can't find any technical information what clearance they should be. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

G'day James, You need the C3 spec bearings for the mainshaft. I have some spare ones if you want any. Mine are RHP MJ 1 1/2 C3. Pm me if required............Brian

Just rang my supplier......

He believes these bearings in a C3 have been phased out and more than likely not being manufactured anymore.

Last one they sold was in 1998.....they have three in stock @ $80ea plus $20 delivery....unless your in Mackay or Hobart.

Brian was the reason for the C3? Is it failure related?

I haven’t rang any my other suppliers.....I reckon there would be one that would have heaps, who had the army contract probably.

Just rang another supplier.....

They have 300 in stock in Melbourne and a couple in Brisbane. I did confirm twice they they were C3 and he said yes.

$94.19 excluding.
