View Full Version : Spare parts order grief

Just wondering if anybody has had issues ordering from John Craddock Spares? Reason for my question is their customer service. I ordered parts mid November, paid, they took my order, confirmed order etc. then sent a seperate email to make a payment for the ‘carriage’ or postage. Filled in the page as requested and forgot all about it. So sent them an email a few days ago asking for tracking info for the order. I got a rather strange response from some chap in customer service. So I sent him order details etc, he sent back more strange email, but didn’t answer my query. To cut a long story short, I haven’t had a great deal of success and have asked to cancel the order.
Just wondered if others had experienced issues with this company. The guy in customer service to say the least has been weird and not very interested in solving my query to the point I can no longer deal with him as I fear it will get rude, hence now I have cancelled the order.

I tried them once and the process frustrated me.

I now only by local.......in the hope they open for when you need that part in the middle of no where overnight.

Got to agree. Got some bearings from them a week ago, price was comparable to anywhere in the world, next day delivery. Cheaper than GBR in Utah.

The only funny thing is that Mario spells 'Timken' as 'Timkin', but the right spelling and holograms were on the boxes.

cheers, DL

Your mate Cam in Somerville will be the next to see these bearings.

Happy Xmas, DL

Thanks, I’ll check them out, would rather buy local if I can, just went online and found this mob. I ended up calling the UK tonight after total frustration, the girl on the other end was like a robot, not idea as to why the problem...she hadn’t bothered reading any of my emails explaining the problem.

I have ordered parts from Craddocks in the past without issue, but not for a long time.

When we spoke about the spelling I was trying to say that if you spell genuine Timken as genuine Timkin the uninitiated might think they're Asian knockoffs and you miss out on business.

cheers, DL

Another vote for Heather and Mario at Roverlord.
Very fast helpful service and really reasonable prices.
