I have an old set of 5 non LR 15" mag wheels that came of a 93 RRC. They have a quite modest/discrete pattern, so thought I might do them up.
They are pretty filthy even after using CT18 car wash and waterblaster.
Any ideas for cleaning that wont destroy them? Looks like they may have had some kind of lacquer on at some stage, but almost all worn off.

No 1 Son recently bought some foaming mag wheel cleaner and it worked great on the grotty rims on the Camry. Factory alloys that looked like there’d never been cleaned. Was in a blue can, but can’t recall what brand sorry.

I use Supercheap Concrete cleaner for all my cleaning tasks. Works bloody great on the dirty inside of the wheels, and is cheap cheap. It's about 14 bucks for 4 litres and you can dilute it down for other cleaning jobs. I'd start on the wheels with a 5:1 mix and a kitchen scouring pad. It might need more than one go at it but it works for me.
Also works great on interior plastics and carpets with a pressure washer.
