Hey guys, Long time lurker but never really posted much. So I've owned my 2007 rrs supercharged for almost a year now, and I've always felt like it didn't have quite as much power at higher rpm as another rrs that I test drove before buying this one. About 6 months ago I replaced the MAF sensor with a new delphi unit which didn't make any difference and also replaced the spark plugs as my IIDtool was picking up a very occasional misfire at idle which is now gone. Apart from the slight lack of power it's always idled and driven smoothly up until 2 weeks ago on a 31 degree day when I was accelerating hard and it was hesitating and barely able to accelerate above about 4000rpm. I plugged in the IIDtool and brought up a few live values and continued driving it. The main thing I noticed was that every time it would start to hesitate, the throttle position sensor reading would drop to 52-54% while the accelerator position sensor would continue to read at it's max. Another thing I noticed was that the air intake temperature was reading at about 67 degrees which I thought seemed a bit high for highway driving. Later in the day when it cooled down a bit, I tried fully accelerating again and it was no longer hesitating like earlier.
Anyway, it had been driving fairly well up until the weekend just gone when I went to overtake a car where I needed full power, and half way through overtaking it hesitated the same as last time.
The next day, a couple of times when I accelerated a bit harder than normal it fully cut out for a few seconds as if I'd just taken my foot straight off the accelerator. This got worse over the next few days to the point of not being able to accelerate with more than about 25% throttle, causing me to have to pull over. I had 3 fault codes which were, P0101-00 (24), P0172-00 (36), P0175-00 (36). I ended up unplugging the MAF sensor which made it drive perfectly apart from being in limp mode so only having one gear and the dash looking like a christmas tree. I've since tried my old MAF sensor which made it drive half ok for a day until it started doing the exact same thing but also started idling extremely rough. So now I'm back to having the MAF unplugged and it drives ok, but I don't like driving it in limp mode.
So I'm wondering, are there any other sensors that could be causing this but then not causing any problems when the MAF is disconnected? Could a vacuum leak cause this even though it was only intermittent to begin with? Are there any other live values I should take a look at? Also at one point with my old MAF connected, it randomly had much more power in higher rpm than it ever has before.

Sorry about the wall of text but I'm just trying to include any details I can think of. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check the condition of your cats, with higher mileage choked up cats will cause lack of power, reluctance to rev out, misfires and what not.

That is definitely something I will figure out how to check as its done 209,000km, however this current problem goes away when the maf sensor is unplugged so I assume that rules the cats out. I tried taking it for a drive twice yesterday with the maf connected and its noticeably worse with a hotter ambient temperature. When it was about 30 degrees outside, I made it a few hundred metres before I had to pull over due to not being able to accelerate at all. Later on I drove to the shop and back when it was about 21 degrees and it was actually drive-able except for an obvious hesitation if I tried to accelerate too hard.

I can't really think of anything else to try so I might just have to wait until my mechanic is back from their break and I'll at least post what the fix was in case anyone else has the same problem.
