Pretty much the same in the Territory, except next week I am on holidays (heading to Darwin) and I don't start work until the Wednesday of the week after that. 5 days leave gives 12 days off!

Yay I get to go back to work next week. 8O
How sad is that but after so long having to do nothing I'm looking forward to geting back into things. Now have to talk to work about an OHS assessment of my work space as sitting stills causes some hassles.

Also got to drive my baby again today even if was only to the doc and back https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

4 day weeks are the norm for me. Work 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights 4 1/2 off, but 12hr days. Have taken 4 shifts off, gives me 12 days off all tolled. Love this roster. Do not know what public holidays are though.
Anyone wanting to get into the mining/processing industry this is standard.

Used to work in the hospitality industry (Chef by trade), while I loved the job the hours and pay sucked.

Every day is a day off for me - I took an early retirement package - was an offer too good to refuse. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

So did I... but at 31 it was a little too early to retire

Anyway, I've managed to get the first aid officer position here, so they are sending me on a first aid course on the 21st and 28th at Chermside, which is about 5 mins from home. This is something I wanted to do (and was prepared to do in my own time) so this is like a real bonus for me https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ It will make next week and the week after even shorter https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

I just hope I never have to kiss of life any of my co-workers... unless it's one of the call centre hotties on this floor https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Im stuck between a rock and hard place when it comes to these short weeks. On the one hand it is good to get the break, on the other hand it is likely to cost me in the region of $16-20k in sales over the 2 days 8O. Hence why I am working the staff hard now to make up for it  ( read.... most have already buggered off for the day as I let some have early marks  ) and Ill be taking off shortly to pick up brats in Brissie then back to the coast hopefully only encountering some of the traffic  . Hope its getting closer to getting the D3 Farnarkle?

Regards

Stevo

I would love any normal day job that pays $650.00 a week or more.
Got to look for a new normal job. :?

Not trying to be a smart arse, but I only ever work 4 day weeks.
2 days, 2 nights then 4 off, doesn't get much better than that.
