It doesn't matter how much space you have, you can always convince yourself you need more.

Parkinson's Law is the adage that " Work expands to fill the time available for its completion".

There is a similar law that applies to fridge space. The stuff you think you need to take expands to fill the available fridge space.

We did a trip to Darwin with two kids and a trip to Broome via the Oodnadatta and Tanami Tracks and we managed with a 15 litre Engel.

No doubt if I had a 60 litre one, I could have filled that . :)

Dunno about the fridges , but the wiring is pretty "special".
About $50 in Anderson plugs.

I have an Anderson plug on every I own that is 12v.......

And given the gear gets used by the two older kids it’s a whole lot easier having it all portable.

And Parkinson’s Law really, really, REALLY applies to sheds.

Well seeing each fridge uses all of 2-4 amps , why not go the whole hog and use 200amp Anderson plugs rather than the wimpy 50 amp ones?

at this time of year ice in eskies has previously been a bane , well it hasn't caused death but it's been awful when the drinks aren't cold enough

so I pulled out my car fridge and put all my grog in it for the next few of days of celebration.

no need for ice, costs nothing to run, solar on the roof covers that. simples.

I have 4 12v fridges all running on solar/batteries and they are pretty much set and forget But Yes even with the big caravan fridge I am always running out of room to store food/drinks.
It wasn't that long ago when I only had the one 12v fridge and I used to be able to go camping/fishing for a week or more quite comfortably.
I suppose we don't NEED all the fridge/freezer space But it is NICE to be able to have some luxury items like ice cream and to make the ice for our "sundowners" at the end of the day[thumbsupbig]

For the price of all those Engels you could justabout buy a refrigerated truck and be done with it! [bigrolf]

Suppose.....

The little 32L I brought 15ish years ago and owes me nothing....no ebay fridges back than

The one in the left belongs to the car, nice of work to provide a fridge

The one in the right is a hand me down....although the compressor has always sounded weird and seems to use more amps than the others

😀 just teasing ya Weeds. It’s amazing how we accumulate stuff! ...though must say hiring a refrigerated truck sounds like a good option!

A refrigerated air cargo ULD that runs off batteries would be ideal, whack a couple of solar panels on the roof and your done.
