D4 Vehicle Inspection

Hi Guys,

Merry Xmas to all. Been a member for over 3 years and have taken the plunge to finally purchase a Disco 4, SDV6 SE.
I am very interested in one which is in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Unfortunately I am in Mackay, Central Queensland.
Could some local Melbourne members help me out with suggestions for getting vehicle inspection done. I am very keen on this vehicle. I'm sure my 2 kids will talk to me again sometime soon after selling the 100 series Cruiser!!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm quite nervous about possibly purchasing a vehicle that's 2300 kms away.

Hi Dave,

The closest to Hawthorn is probably Ritter Ritter - Independent Land Rover & Range Rover Specialists Since 1976 (https://ritter.com.au/)
They have a good reputation.
I could have a cursory look over the vehicle for you, but it would only be to confirm whether it is worth paying for a proper assessment. If the owner allows it I could check error codes and service history.

If they are closed over the Christmas break AMV in Ringwood are open. A bit further away though
