Hi all,
As a thought experiment, taking into account political stability, safety, the challenge, and of course general enjoyment, if you were in Australia with the ambition to drive to Europe, which route would you take and why? To put some limitations on the challenge, let's assume there was some startup capital to organise the carnet, shipping, etc and the vehicle was already equipped - you have a small but stable budget of $3000/month for 12-18 months.
Which way do you and your Land Rover go?

We are currently deciding between driving to London via Asia or shipping to Hamberg.
Seems to be heaps driving from Aus......through Asia to Europe
I’ll start detailed planning in 12-18 months.
I’ve been following one couple in a troopy ‘TWO’ The Way Overland...they originally planned 12 months but are now expecting it to be at least 2 years. Don’t get many updates now as they have moved to subscription on Patreon

Come across this a while back. Bookmarked thinking I should read a bit but never really got around to it. There is a mine of information buried in there plus you can see the route they took. Take time to look at the 'planning' sections both from Australia to Europe and from Europe to Australia. Bit dated (2011) but may be of some use.
Scroll down till you reach "From Australia to Europe (and back)" and start from there.
