hello all
Has anyone got a link for a service kit for the Hitachi compressor i want to do this first before i go out and get a brand new compressor. the car is second hand and lived a lot of it time in the tropics so i am thinking the drying beads may be shot. the compressor is getting hot and slowly rising after going up into off road mode once.
cheers all.

And they have videos that show you how to do it.

Xr8 sell kits and alloy replacement drier caps , hardest part it removing the seal retaining ring on the top of the compressor.

I used their kit proactively. Worked a treat.

After getting the kit dfrom 4x4airseals, I had a bit of a disaster following the 4x4airseals instruction video
I went against my better judgement, prising the piston ring retaing cap with increasing sized screwdrivers, as directed. The top broke away from the piston! Thought I was up for a new comp.
Luckily I sourced a new replacement piston kit from US which came with the ring already fitted. The repair was good and the compressor has been running well for over a year now

Same, I only did the desiccant & filter kit and new lid changeover as too scared to open up the cylinder. Still working fine after 10 years.
There is also the intake air filter in the body compartment behind passenger tail light if operating in super dusty conditions. It does get dusty in there. The foam filter in mine self destructed when I tried to wash it. Made a replacement from a car wash foam block.
Spray a bit of lube on the Hitachi external air hose connectors to allow you to undo them without a fight. Push in the inner ring as you pull out the hose.
The other top tip is it’s a bugger to get at the Hitachi top bolt. You need double extension with a uni joint. Slot the top mount hole before reassembling and you can pre fit the bolt.

I just used a ring spanner on the top bolt, fiddly but not difficult.
