Hello from Sherwood.
I want to send a small box of parts to a member in Bundaberg - set of brake slave cylinders and a master cylinder.
Is anyone going that way?
Cheers,
Neil

Hello again.
Looks like some options are emerging for getting the parts to Bundaberg. So, I will check them with the responders personally to see what the best way to proceed is.
Basically, the parts originally cost me about $300 and I’m giving them to another member. So, am keen not to have incur much additional cost in making the transfer. Hence not so keen on posting them.
There is no real time pressure here.
Cheers,
Neil

Why not send Australia Post COD and let the recipient pay the postage?

The OP has posted in the AULRO Courier section......looking for members to assist.
This section is hear to save members a buck or two......plus there is the opportunity for member to meet each other along the journey.
If there was no members traveling that way than Im sure he would look at paid options.....
Oh and it’s been sorted by member helping members.

Paul/Dave,
Hello again,
In terms of getting these bits to Lionel will either of you be catching up with Harry or Carolyn in the near future? I want to go over to their place at some time to measure up a chassis and could drop the box with them for the transfer.
I don’t think there is any great time pressure here.
Cheers,
Neil

Hello again from Sherwood.
This quote really gets to the nub of the deal I guess.
Back at Easter last year on my way to the Cooma 70th bash I made a diversion of a couple of hundred kms to pick up a radio in Singleton for a member in Melbourne. Passed it on in Cooma to a couple of others for the final leg. Sounds convoluted but jeez I met some nice folks along the way.
But I also owed the system that - earlier on another member transported five 7.50 x 16 tyres from Sydney for me and wouldn’t take anything for the hassle.
I guess there is a bank account of good will out there - if you make enough deposits you might occasionally get to make a withdrawal.
I love Land Rovers.......
Cheers,
Neil

There was a bit of a delay along the way - largely at my end - seems to be headed in the right direction now.
