Andrewhi stewart 1666 is 1951 ckd engine numbers start at 161oooo1 geabox starts at16100001 ckd axles also 161ooo1 hope this helps jim

Where did you buy it from - it doesn’t show as ever being registered in Vic, but interstate checks are harder.

Did you purchase the one from Queensland ? Googled the chassis number and came up with the advert......

You might be able to get a dispatch date from the UK, I forget where you get this from but someone will know.
The actual build date would have been at the agent that built it, the seller suggested Annand & Thompson, but I believe their records were lost in floods in the 70's.

Looks like a big project.....

Klonk was sent to dispatch on the 25/10/50 and dispatched to Annard and Thompson on the 27/10/50 serial no 16660816.
The production year started on the first of September and ended end of August for some strange reason. 15969 land rovers were made in that year.
Sorry I don't have anything better than that.
