Had this tablet for about 2 years and although it worked ok it was stuck on a failed update loop which was a common issue on these early models (2012), had some spare time so searched for a decent guide on how to root (hack) the system i could install a newer version of Android. First attempt i unlocked the system but when updating the image i soft bricked it [bighmmm], luckily i installed a recovery program that allowed me to load an updated factory image [thumbsupbig].
Not content in the jump from 4.1.2 > 5.1.1 i found a much newer 7.1.2 image and installed that with only the apps i wanted which makes for a lighter install and an overall faster machine.
Now i can run the AULRO app, GAP Tool app and a newer version of Igo Primo Nexgen with the latest 3rd Q 2018 maps.

Do you have it permanently installed?
I've got one sitting in a D1 modded into the dash, with the battery removed and powered off the vehicle.
