HAve had a leaking Heater Core..I think. Wife found grrenish coolant on passenger side. HAs anyone removed and replaced a Heater Core for a Freelander XEI 2000, 1.8. How much work is involved? Also any place where I can get one relatively cheap. The Land Rover joints in Melbore are quoting $800.

There's currently a similar thread in the Technical Chatter section talking about Discovery cores.... You might want to have a quick look to see if there's anything there you can use.
I've not done the job on the Freebee before but I don't think the job is as bad on the Freebee as it is on the RaRo & Disco. I think you should be able to access the heater unit once the centre console has been taken out. It shouldn't be too difficult, just time consuming....
