Hi folks, there is a debate raging on pome RR site, about how much better toyotas are and specifically a legless is over an RR.

The thing is though, there is a post that absolutely kills any toyota want-to-be.

Have a read and remember the thread as it will most definitely come in handy in future.

Cheers.

G'day All, very interesting and well researched, I had a chap about a year ago tell me that he had a vehicle at home that was the equal to my 110 County, I said you own a newer Landrover?? No he replied it was an all wheel drive dunnydoor, I nearly ****ed myself laughing, I just said to him well anytime you would like to try out you awd dunnydoor just let me know guess what!! 8O I haven't heard from him and probably never will either, cheers Dennis

Even though i'm not into bashing other brands, it was interesting at Fraser. We didn't ground once, anywhere. I realised that the reason is that all the tracks are regularly graded by the lower clearance 4wds, leaving defender owners to traverse with immunity to ruts etc https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Well what a corker of a discussion!! Some good points on both sides, but I work for a Toyota dealership and know that the LC100s and the Lexus both have some big reliability problems too!! I reckon I would put my 89 Classic up against some of these newer Toyotas and be pretty confident she would do alright!!
Thsi Maroon rangie is fitted with Std air suspension and he had no probs with artculation or reliability! The Green one is mine with a 2" lift and also had a fun reliable day on coilers!!
I will watch this story with eager eyes.

Bloody ripper

Why is that Toyotas have a certain arrogance and have to try and talk up the 'reliability' of there Jap crap rust buckets. They say LR owners are up themselves, we just don't associate with idiots I guess https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Just go on the 'over the top' forum for this sort of nonsense as well.
