We did a week trip to our folks' winter place at Lightning Ridge. For once we had a great drive around the area. One interesting track (considering that we had 75mm of rain in under an hour two days before) was the Lone Pine Track. It goes from the Castlereagh Highway at Lightning Ridge to Grawin via a dirt road that turns into nothing more than a track. Total touring distance was about a 200km loop. Really great to see lots of red dirt, high temperatures and lots of mud https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ The Land Rover loved this corrugated road..... of course.

Belangalo is one very tragic place. Everytime a drive past the turnoff it sends shivers up my spine.

Especially when you come up on the grave sites without warning.... you read them and it sinks in suddenly :?

Weeds -- have you tried clicking on the specific picture you wish to post, so that it is enlarged in the gallery to its maximum size and then copying the properties/location?
Otherwise you are just copying the thumbnail image, which is why it is so small.
Does this make sense?

There you go.
I could not find your particular pic in the gallery but used the following one from your gallery (nice setup by the way)

There you go, now there's enough room to pitch a tent.
And comes with a tractor too, hope you made use of it.

We went to Manar, and when I download the pics (the camera batteries are dead) I'll post a few.
Had a good time aside from the sandlfy bites (about 150+ on each ankle, no exaggeration. Ouch !)
