From the reports, sounds like some really skilful piloting (although he won't look so good if the inquiry finds the engine stopped because the fuel was switched to the wrong tank or something like that!)

Fortunately they are a really solid airframe, and with pilot only, as seems to have been the case, have a fairly low stall speed - and low speed handling is good. (Done quite a few hours in them, including a lot of bush strips).

I have been told that ANY landing you can walk away from is a Good one[thumbsupbig]

Not quite - any landing you can walk away from is a successful one - if the plane is still airworthy, it was a good landing. That would not seem to be the case here.

If I had to do a forced landing I’d rather be in a Beech. Tough as nails [emoji1303]

Hope it wasn’t too much air in the fuel tanks...
