Pretty sure the Australian allocation is fully sold.....

My son was considering one until he found out the wait time.

Still magnitudes safer than a Series or a Defender , not to mention a motorbike !

Safer than the latest Jeep Wrangler (1 star).

Saw my first one two days ago, rang my step dad as they have an older Jimny that replaced their D2.
I didn't realise they were out yet.

I saw one today in a tan/cream/brown colour. It looked good.

Other than these Jimnys and short wheel base Jeeps, I guess there are no new smaller full 4wds available any longer.

Pity it doesn't have a centre diff.

Baby Defender Jimny 2019 only $24K.

Rounded figures of $28K to $32K drive away depending on model puts it into perspective.

Saw this in the City today - a little googling reveals that it's ARB's development car that they had at the launch of the Jimmy.

Edit: trying to work out how to spin the photo 90 degrees ...

Reading the specs looks like a good little beast. wonder if star pickets will fit in the back??

Payload is probably about the same as the old shorty with two people but a lot more comfortable. Would miss some of the old features though, no dust leaks, drips and speed limited by passenger noise complaints. [tonguewink][tonguewink]

The only downfall ive found so far is they dont have a wading depth, apparently the bellhousing leaks water in. But like LRs after a few months all the bugs and faults will be ironed out by the die hards[emoji106]

There's a write-up in the latest 4 x 4 Australia, I believe. 3200 rpm at 110 km/h might be a bit buzzy.

Seen one getting it's seats measured up for car seat covers.

Really neat little 4wd

Looked underneath it and the chassis looks really well made as do all the components, coils all round and surprisingly a lot of room inside. The big rear door will make using all the space easy.

Time will tell but these things could be the next best hing since sliced bread for anyone wanting a small weekend 4by.

The interior really is very small, with a lot of the space in the back taken up by the rear seats. If you were going to tour with it then you'd probably start by taking those out, presuming that's possible.

I have to ask how you did that - for some reason these photos keep turning on their side when I post them!

You are holding your phone sideways so the pictures are sideways.

I simply rotated the image using an image editor, I have to do the same for some of my own phone images IF I forget to hold the phone "Sideways" when I take a pic [thumbsupbig]
Usually it doesn't matter which way you hold the phone/camera the image should be just fine But if I hold my Samsung upright I end up with a smaller/narrower image.
The upside down/sideways problem a lot of people have with posting images is most likely caused by the Way the image is saved and can easily be rotated correctly using an image editor.
I Think that most smart phones have these editors in their software But I am Not that cluey with phones and I use my laptop to do the job[biggrin]

Came across this bloke in South Africa that is setting up his Jimny as a Tourer.... Not sure what sort of fuel range he will have once finished but so far with the roofrack and Ezi-Awn 270* fitted, it looks pretty good i reckon...

Would consider one for my daughter but sadly it's not for US consumption which is where my daughter is learning to drive at the moment. We drove the Suzuki Jimny in America, and it was good - Roadshow (https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2019-suzuki-jimny-first-drive-review-samurai/)

The guy has an awesome little bbq called a Bon Braai. or a couple of people camping (and in the appropriate season) it would be great
