Some myths explained. I had a Lee Enfield sporting rifle back in my early Naval days, took it home to the property My family was on , out from Bungunya, and left without it. Dad, being a WW2 veteran, and having an old single shot martini henry , laid claim to my rifle. Now, considering I had little use for it back in Sydney, and seeing Dad shoot a 'Roo at about 100 yards in high grass thru the head, [ could only see the head at the bounce] with my rifle, why, I decided he should have it.[ That and the fact he said I could walk back to Bungunya railway station if I didn't leave it ] Love the Lee Enfield.
