I saw someone on here mention plasti-dipping their wheels, I thought Id have a crack.
Relatively inexpensive and easily removed. Plasti paint was $70 from Ebay . With 4 cans and 1 glossify can.
Took a few hours, I think they look good.

It does look good!!
What was the glossy paint for? At the end? Do you have a link to the stuff you bought?
Thanks
Dave.

The plast-dip is matt finish. So after you finish the 4 th coat. You choose a glossify coat. Mine is straight up gloss. But they do graphite, and all kinds of metallizer coats.
There is a dude on YouTube that shows you how.

It’s very easy, though I did remove my wheels, they don’t bother.
I didn’t want the nuts doing, and I was keen to coat the inside barrel.

Obviously it’s your own risk, but to me the risk was $70 and a few hours.

Yeah, that’s what the guys on the video reckons . 4 coats min. That way it comes off easily when you want to peel them back to original. The video explains it really well. Good luck

I didnt fully watch the video but I think he didn't mention that you should put your cans in a bucket of hotish water first for at least 10 mins. It helps the paint atomize, sprays much better, clogs less and gives a smoother finish.
I love the stuff ive sprayed bonnets and bumpers a few times, it works wonders and lasts a while if you lay down more coats. I think they make a touch up kit also IIRC
Cheers Jim

That’s true, he does mention it in another if his videos. I used a pan of hot tap water to help thin the spray. Got to be the easiest spray job I’ve ever done. Levels out beautifully well. I think it could become addictive!
