Talking to some grey nomads whilst camped at Noosa North Shore recently, they actually advised against taking a van to Broome, unless the security was first class. I found that a bit hard to believe, having been to Broome numerous times during my time on patrol boats, back in the eighties. A shame really, Broome was one of our favourite places back then.
