pretty easy to do if you don't have much experience driving them in those sorts of conditions and you like playing with the brake pedal
have seen two or three over the years do it and seen many more barely escape it..
poor buggers..

I’m thinking they may have come across oncoming traffic and moved to the left meaning the drivers side wheels are now in the passenger side rut...and the passenger wheels up on the embankment, well probably wasn’t at the start and I’m guessing they thought they could continue driving while trying to get the back to the original ruts........looks like it was a low speed roll
Still mind boggling.....

Whose vehicle was the first photo taken from? It has a highly illegal forest of antennae on the bull bar. Only one is permitted by Qld. TMR and only then if not possible to locate elsewhere out of driver's line of sight.

It is a green on white plate so last issued in 2001. When were Pumas introduced?

Er......there is only one antenna, although I don’t believe I’ve seen a rule around only one antenna allowed.

Wouldn’t have thought UHF was considered long range......

Facebook shows rego label and it is a 98 tdi I think as a rental car. Looks like they went too close to the left bank and up and onto their side--glad all ok.

Bin there done that !
Stop kicking around with your backpack
Winch it back on its feet, give everything a moment to settle and get on with life
That big flat side is made for lying down, no buckled door bulges or twisted wheel arches
No biggie

I’d slow roll a 300tdi fender over nearly any other fourby
Zero or near enough to zero consequences
Hopefully people helped as well as taking Purdy pickchas for the internets?
The longer it has a sleep on its side the more time for things to leak where they should not be?

With a bonnet bulge and no vents?
A bits and pieces vehicle, and it will need a few more no doubt after this.[biggrin]

I wonder if the VIN, chassis, and engine numbers would check out against the TMR record?

I can't say with certainty, but it may not be even remotely as bad as it looks from our side.
I once rolled a car(P6B) up past Khacoban. on a right hand bend, rolled to my right!.
Read that again and how silly it sounds .. rolled to the right(driver side) in the middle of a RH dogleg turn.
But what happened: came into bend(too hot obviously), front brakes locked(easy to do in a P6), car went straight on, up an embankment on the LHS, car followed up and stopped at about 45°.
About 2 sec later it rolled, like in slow motion. Had a font passenger, and we both agreed it was a very weird feeling to have rolled a car, but never felt dangerous.
P6 too far gone to sort, even tho it has the best body design for panel replacement.

They probably won’t raise a claim as the girls probably had to cough up a $7000 excess....and hire company won’t fix anything

They will have something to tell their friends when they get home. Something similar happened to a D2, unfortunately bent the A pillar. All over red rover, write off.

Exactly, it's a landie, meant for falling over and getting back up again. I did exactly the same thing on a 4WD Course with the Air Force many moons ago. Couple of mates, push it back onto it's feet and off we went. It was a petrol btw. The sand was so soft it didn't even damage the mirror... [thumbsupbig]
agreed, no biggie

A pillar looks bent - check out the last two photos. Particularly the roof line. Looks like the windscreen section is shifted to the left

You lot call ya selves Land Rover fans..... without doing a rego check, look at the obvious things [tonguewink][tonguewink]
Radiator apron flush with wing panels.
Radiator apron with short length provision for decal.
"Defender" decal on rad apron.
Grill and headlight surrounds grey.
it DOES have vents in the bulkhead.
Small centre muffler.
The rear reverse light is square.
It has a Salisbury diff.
so all the above points to PRE Defender TDCi.
As it has a Salisbury its not late TD5.
As it has the snorkel on the drivers side it's not a 200tdi
So either early TD5 (flat front, sals)
or a 300tdi
but yes it has a TDCi (puma) bonnet [bigrolf]

Yep, much more interesting than determining what model defender it is and how many aerials you can legally run.
