Hey all,
Have just got back from the hospital in Brisbane after getting up at 4am this morning 8O . Sharlea went in for open heart surgery at around 7 am and 4 1/2 hrs later was told the operation went well. Was a bit more damage than they thought, and if she hadnt had the surgery could have caused major probs, if not ummmm well you know  . Got to speak to her after they brought her around this arvo and whilst in a lot of pain and discomfort and more tubes sticking out of her than you can poke a stick at, she still managed a cuppla smiles at my inane comments . Even moreso that I wasnt passing out as am a bit of a woos when it comes to that kind of thing. Main thing it is looking all positive, will be in intensive care for a couple of days then hopefully back to her ward. Im a happy man now, a common comment was how young she was to have cardio surgery, but the plus side being young will help as well https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Once again thanks for all your thoughts and offers of help, I will sleep peacefully tonight 8) ,
Regards
Stevo

Hey All,
Thanks for all your comments, went up this morning and she was looking much better, mainly due to the self administered drugs  . They will get her up and walking today and hopefully start to remove some of the tubes from her chest and neck 8O. Got all the brats with me tonight so at least I will have some voices and warm bodies in the house https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ .

[/b][/quote] Hey mate, she is back home and doing ok, thanks for asking https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ . I picked her up last Wednesday and her mum was with us till yesterday and the nanny/housekeeper starts today. She is still in a fair bit of pain and generally uncomfortable but that is lessening as the days go by. She definately need the op, the doc said she only had 3-5 yrs left if she didnt 8O , so we are both happy that she had it. Will be a couple of months before she is close to reasonable recovery. Am hoping to go to meeting on Thursday so will catch up for a coldy  ,
