Hi folks, was just doing my usual troll of overseas sites and I found this clip.

Read the post that goes with it and then watch the video.

Your comments would be interesting, I’ll reserve mine for now.

Cheers.

Good video but the car was driven over very boring terrain a softroader could have done, music was good https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Was able to play the sound but no pix. Quicktime says it needs a compressor which isn't available on their server. RealPlayer won't play it either.

Looked a bit over dramatic to me - nice car though. Prolly a good ad for those Americans who have never seen a bush track https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Aha! I' ve downloaded the latest Quicktime and am able to view it.

Production wasn't bad. Too bad about the soft-roader track.

Now that's the kind of mud you can clean off your car while wearing a suit.

Yes, it was a bit slow to start with, but between about 2:45 and 3:30 I learnt a bit about etc.

I have had this feeling in the fender that on sand you feel the car start to bog, and then the etc cuts in and it jumps up out of the hole that it was digging and carries on. This video confirmed for me how much the wheel has to spin before it activates. However the three wheeling section showed that it was more effective at locking than I thought it would be.

This goes to confirm my opinion that ETC isn't quite as good as a real difflock, but it is lots better than nothing at all. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Thanks for sharing Tim https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Nice car!!

Good Video Production!!! A1!!!

ETC is fantastic!!

Terrain is a little how’s yr father…. I could have done it in my grandmas Civic https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

I know that the RR3 and Disco 3 can do way more….

It was nice..............depends on what the purpose of the vid was......ie was it for marketing purposes, if so then it probably hits well at its intended audience ie the minority of new model rangies and D3's will go offroad, the majority are on road vehicles despite their heritage. Therefore if the video was in that vein, well done. If it was intended to be targetted at people who will use the machine off road then no it would be perceived as a bit lame. However was good to see ETC in action,

Thanks folks, I thought there might by something wrong with me if that was supposed to be EXCITING but considering my first trip to Ormeau with what is now the rest of the GCLRO Club was a damn site tougher than that.

They truly need to get a life or get on a plain and come out here.

That RR has far more off road capabilities than mine but I could run rings around it and I’m a novice.

This is the second video in as many weeks, for GB that requires a reality check.

Cheers.
