Hi peeps

So I like the feel (handling) of my D4 when I have LLAMS set to -20mm

My question is does it introduce any negative camber? And will this increase inside-edge tyre wear?

Have used it all the time for a number of years with no abnormal tyre wear.
It is the non user selectable high speed height (>160kph) so I would think that Land Rover would have that sorted.

Wheres the best place to buy a kit in WA or online. I feel this is one of the must have bits of equipment. Thanks

I drive around with LLAMs set to -20mm and I did wear the inside of my last set of tyres - all four wore the same. With this set of tyres I am intending to change the tyres around on the rims at about 25,000km to 30,000km to even out the wear.


It is the non user selectable high speed height (>160kph) so I would think that Land Rover would have that sorted. Do you think so - I think you give LR too much credit, afterall what % of tyre life is the car doing over 160kph. The amount of tyre wear would be inconsequential.

Commuting on the autobahns in Germany. Most probably quite a bit.
Yes maybe giving LR too much credit but it is nice to dream.

Unquestionably it will induce inner tyre wear. The arm geometry applies negative camber when it lowers. How much, well I cannot say. I find the ride at -20mm awful but each to their own

Unquestionable that it will induce tyre wear if you run this setting 24/7. Undeniably easy to fix if you plan on doing this 24/7, just get a wheel alignment done at the setting you plan to drive it at 24/7. Simple as that.

I run the -20mm offset on the fwy whenever it's windy as i feel it blows the car around a bit, and my tyres still wear perfectly even, so the odd occasion will make next to no difference.

No different to putting lowered springs in any other vehicle, you get a wheel alignment done at the new height and problem solved, else nobody would ever install lift/lower kits.

Thats what I did, however at -20mm and in TTM the old alignment after 12 years and 145,000km was still within allowable alignment specs for onroad height - yet my tyres still wore on the inside.

To counter the inside wear, the alignment guy put in a little more toe in to try and correct this - 20,000km later there is no obvious extra wear on the inside but I will swap the tyres on the rims at about half life to see how I go.

Front suspension is an unequal length double wishbone arrangement so as it arcs it will go out of alignment.
