was as wondering if anyone installed after market side view cameras, dip mirrors or activity key for evoque?

Ha, I was about to point you in the direction of Cams thread until I read your article on LI and saw that you worked with him on your upgrades - nice job.

Regarding the dipping mirrors, that function is a part of the memory seat feature (I assume you don't have memory seats). My understanding is that you should be able to enable this by adding the memory seats switch pack in the door. Discussions with LR techs indicates that the wiring loom is already in place. You may need an additional ECU (LR tech says so) but I think it is all there already.
