...yea, but what happened next! Couldn't see anyone in the drivers seat. Your old sea legs up to the chase[biggrin]

I'm guessing a 4bd1? What gear? Wonder if a snatch strap in line would be useful or more of an issue. Useful recovery tip, fired up in about 1 metre, thanks for the vision.

Mucking about, I tried tow starting my 1984 stage 1 4bd1. Got some compression of cylinder air but no firing, momentary spin of the wheels, then jolted the tow vehicle to a holt.

Wouldnt do me any good as my winches are all hydraulic.
Need one of those system like the tractor on the farm. Put a cartridge in the pot.

They gotta specsaver in Darwin?[bigsmile1] 1st high, the trailing lead controls the start run solenoid .Interesting regards snatch strap .If you try it by using the clutch to get it rolling seems to work better .I only have a 32000 lb kinetic rope. but will try it

Keith my electric winch is hydraulic as well. I have only tried it with the 8cc rev hydraulic pump of the back of the TC but am in the process of changing to a 28 cc rev pump on GB PTO and will post a comparative line speed test when finished
