There's a pic of this car somewhere, either here or on the FB site somewhere, but I can't remember where. Found this "walk around" which I though might be appreciated by the guys thats first saw it. I'd certainly have it.

Its great but its not 4x4 , however they did have 4x4 bugs in WW2 and there are retrofitted 4x4 bugs around .

Here is an original 2WD WW2 bug for sale in Adelaide, note is got the original portals on the rear, (same as Kombi) so sits nice and high .

I love the skinny NATO pattern tyres, be a real hoot to drive on wet bitumen. :)

Wow, the price of the 1945 Beetle is $280,000, but I suppose it is rare as hens teeth. Then again if you go looking in Australia for Kubelwagen's, don't expect any change out of $100k, and probably twice that for the Schwimmwagen's.

I saw a Golf 4x4 in Germany in the early 90's, not sure if it had a chassis stuffed under it or a tc to add drive to the rear.
Also saw a moke 4x4 somewhere.

Well dr google just brought this up-
