So, what’s good, bad or otherwise? What you watched that knocked your socks off? Netflix, Stan, Amazon, etc. Put a couple of sentences in about what genre, series/movie, etc.
I’ll make a start.
Netflix - ‘Brooklyn 99’. Sitcom based in an NYPD precinct. 5 seasons there now, 6th just released in the US so should be here soon with some luck.
Netflix - ‘Love, Death and Robots’. 18 short films ADULTS ONLY - animated, some right in the uncanny valley and won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Strange and well worth a look.
Netfix - ‘The good place’ - Just go watch this one, it’s brilliant. Comedy series about the afterlife - Ted Danson in one of his best roles, they all just nail this one.
Post ‘em as you see ‘em, or old favourites from a couple of years back, etc.

Stan - ‘Kidding’ - Series that’s just wrapped up it’s first season - stars Jim Carrey in a very unusual role. Takes a couple of episodes to get into IMO but pays off big time.
Stan - ‘Catch 22’ - Series coming 18th May - Based on Joseph Hellers novel, it’s directed by George Clooney and Stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Christoper Abbot and Kyle Chandler. Very excited about this one...

Netflix - ‘The Crown’ - Series 3 officially coming. The life and times of Queen Elizabeth II - huge budget (Reportedly $6.5 to $13M per episode), brilliantly shot and great telling of her story. 5 stars for this one.

Another vote for “After Life”. It’s been a long time since a tv show has had me in hysterical laughter, so much so I had to pause it until I calmed down... and ten minutes later so heartbreakingly sad I had tears streaming down my face. Never been much of a fan of Gervais but this changed my mind.
”Stranger Things” Creepy good...
”Outlander” sometimes cringeworthy but it got me hooked. Waiting for the next series now.
”The Crown” lots of very nicely restored Series 1’s in the earlier shows.
Does anyone still watch free to air?

You must be one of the few. Haven't watched FTA for nearly 12 months now. I did flick the telly on the caravan the other week on a cold night, but only long enough to flick through the channels, sigh and turn it off and pick up a book. Just can't find ANYTHING worth watching these days on FTA. Makes you wonder how long it can survive without changing what it does as I know I'm not the only one who's given up on it.

This may be a little out of left field, and you will probably need a VPN to watch it, but Cobra Kai ain't bad. Weird premise. It reunites most of the cast from the 80s movie The Karate Kid. Believe me, it is a whole lot better than that sounds. A whole lot better than most of the dross we are being served these days. You'll probably need Prime, but it may be on YouTube's paid service. Like I said, VPN to show you in the US, or wait I guess.
Another one for those who can get it is Chernobyl. Once again, not sure how to get it here. It will come though, and IMO it's well worth it.

Thanks. I'd forgotten Foxtel since I got sick of their gouging. Had them for 10 years. Funny they never asked me for their dish back..
Edit. I shouldn't be so dismissive. Foxtel gave us some great moments, and provided some entertainment for my wife in her time. She loved what she called "house programs', such as Grand Designs. We would go to AFL games together and if we won we'd watch the game again when we got home. Geelong won lots of games then.

Crip Camp on Netflix is interesting in it is about the disabled finally having a voice and changing the world to be more accessible for all and equal rights in life. It follows one group in America. (From 70s ) (was great for me to watch as a lot of the things I enjoy now as a disabled person are thanks to that group) Picard on Prime. (All star treks are on all of them)
They seem to be putting new things on them faster than normal. Watched a movie called ANNA lastnight which wasn't too bad.
