Note that it almost certainly won't work with your TD5.
Td5s aren't OBDII compliant .. didnt' need to be, as they were never sold in the USA.

So my thinking is that this is primarily targeted to the US market, where D2s are either 4.0's or 4.6's .. so the v8 D2s are OBDII compliant(due to US regs).

I've used cheapo ELM327 OBDII bluetooth dongles and Torque(free app) on my V8 D2, no worries. But just won't work on bro's 2003 TD5.

Not sure on this next comment, but I think the D2a TD5's may be OBDII compliant or something. I think made compulsory due to Euro regs.
Anyhow .. it's a bit all over the place in terms of will it or wont it.

Nanocom or Haweye is going to be your friend with respect to diagnostics.

Pretty sure they are only supported and useful in the USA

Use the bluetooth dongle and torque on the AUdi, its alright, never even thought of trying it out the D2!!! Thanks for the advice, Nanocom seems pricey pricey and hadn't heard of Hawkeye, and, thinking about it the Yanks only got the V8 so sounds right.
