Got up a little earlier than normal for a day off, went outside to get the paper...............RH rear window of the D3 smashed and car "gone through" lost a pair of binoculars, some small change and my tax receipts for running expenses for the year................ Called the police as there was blood on the door so forensic will hopefully be here later today. The cops said there are a few well known offenders around the area and they have there DNA........... I can only hope.
My stepdaughters car suffered the same fate.
I'd like to deal some of my own justice to them but they might think it was unfair.........

Sorry to hear that Richard.
Hopefully they do get a DNA match and some justice is dealt. Not that it will be enough. At least if a charge is made there is a chance of finding out who it was.
I wonder if its the same lowlife who broke into your last Disco in the same way???

Richard,
Sorry to hear about it - did the alarm sound?
We had our front house broken into 3 years ago, and the local Plod collected DNA evidence. We were pretty cynical about getting any result and ended up forgetting (as much as you can) about it. 2 years later we got a call to inform us that the offenders had been caught, charged and were facing court. So I guess things _do_ happen if you wait long enough!
Cheers,
Gordon

Gee Im fired up now, first reading about some of the ****** on the road and now this  . I look outside and am glad I have a German Shepherd, aside from the fact we are 200 metres up a driveway on the side of a mountain, he picks up from the roads entrance. At least that was the only damage :? now add own expletives  ,

Richard,
That's bad news.
Hope they catch the scumbags.
Hope your window is easy to get a replacement for. You know how LRA are a bit tight on carrying any spare parts.
Best of luck getting it all sorted.

Sorry to hear about the break-in Richard!
I didn't know that the motion sensors weren't fitted! The book says they are, but then the book says lots of things like that (electrically folding mirrors etc etc).
I noticed on disco3.co.uk that the alarm is quite feeble anyway, so I might look at getting mine wired up to the horns or a siren of some sort.
Hopefully you will get it all fixed sooner rather than later!

Mongrels!
The P38A has volumetric sensors so I'm surprised the D3 doesn't.
I hope the so and so cut himself badly.

Just out of interest - DNA examination in NSW is a 12 month wait - and that is for preliminart and inclused waiting for major crime jobs - he he not like CSI - done on the spot. Once we get the prelim it then has to go for full comparison examination - probably 6 to 12 months more - Not bad eh? ---- Not good either !

No good Richard, hope the boys catch them. Then the Majistrate can feel sorry for them. Because of the disadvataged upbringing, abusive parents lack of education, broken home ect ect. $hit I think we are all being a little hard here......I'm starting to feel sorry for this missguided sole now. It was probably all your fault anyway. You being so well off and not securing your vehicle where this poor downtroden exploited (Bet he's dark) person could be tempted to do wrong. Shame on all of us who have worked so hard to get ahead.......... 8O 8O

That is ridiculous. The govt needs to put more resources into that. If the police had earlier results I would think crime would drop. You wouldn't have someone continuing on their own criminal spree for months.
The saving to the community would have to pay for the cost of improving the response time.

You could try CraigEs idea
Pegging them out naked on a dry salt lake and watching the crows pick their eyes out.

That was for sick paedophiles, but would work just as well on thieving buggers. Plenty of salt lakes up here Richard K if you find them. Lots of old mine shafts too.
Damn mongrels, even if they are caught they will only get a slap on the wrist. Big detterents hey. :?:
