G'Day Phil,

Try putting large stainless water hose clamps around top of spring holder & top of spring, works a treat & won't fall out again.

Great pics.

It's an interesting track alright.

The last climb could some damage if you get to close to that tree because the car pitches to the right as you "climb" up the ledge.

Exactly like that Baz, you must have held your mouth the wrong way the day you put them on, absolutely incredible that they should come off, freaky actually considering how long they have been on the car.

Mine still holding firm been on now many years.

Great pics looks like you had fun.

Cheers
Bryce
PS
Bought new Landie today a series 2a ex army shorty, needs a little work but not severe, will get some pics up soon over weekend.

Have added some pics from last weekend foray in Orange forests in my gallery, found some mud but still pretty dry out here.

G'Day Phil

I once saw in a mag somewhere, comercially made alloy cones that sat into the springs from the top and the springs when fall out of holder can't move sideways and out.

No idea how much they were but looked the goods.

looked a great day, liked to have been there.

Cheers

The springs are Lovells rfr33 sp front and rrr32 sp rear 3" lift with (Patrol spec) RS5000 Ranchos front and Bilstein long travel rear.

Same coils and rear shocks as slunnies Disco, more of a touring setup than pure offroad fun as it tends to bounce as the springs are stiffer for load carrying.
