hi all,

Can't seem to get my LEDs to come on with the high beams, my 3 prong switch has a positive and negative and a third wire which goes where on the relay please?

I have spliced wire from the high beam headlights and again not sure where this goes onto the relay? I want to have it wired so the high beams come on with the LEDs once the switch is activated. thanks

Your spliced wire from the headlight carries the 12v supply to your 3 pole switch. When switched on, the switch routes this 12v supply to your relay, closing the high current circuit inside, which allows current to flow to the LEDs. The ground terminal on your switch typically only functions to activate the small LED inside the switch - it's the two + terminals on your switch that are critical to make it work.

This is the diagram i have been using.

87 to LEDs
30 fused to positive of battery
85 negative or ground
86 switch - is this the positive from the switch

where on the relay does the high beam spliced wire plug into?
where on the relay does the switch wire plug into?

my switch is a small led lit switch, 3 prongs (on or off) a positive, negative and the other positive.
I spliced just behind the headlight thick blue cable off p/side headlight. Wiring for the LEDs already in place by previous owner.

Yes 86 is the positive input from the switch. The high beam wire doesn't go to the relay, it goes to the switch, which switches that +12v on or off to 86 on the relay. If you connected the spliced wire to the relay, the LEDs would turn on every time you activated high beam, thus defeating the purpose of having a switch.
