Yeah got my DCM last week so I`m between jobs at the moment. Not a good sign for the housing industry as a whole. A lot of brick plants are being either mothballed or closed permanently. WA is the worst as the mining boom is well over and no one is building houses. Brick plants there have millions of bricks in storage. So for me who was employed to rebuild or repair brick extruding machines it means my position was not needed any more. The company is a US one. They sent over here a razor gang to make cuts starting with the managing director and working down to me. Only a small place so the loss of at least five position will about halve the work force.
