air flow meter

hi all
finally ordered a new air flow meter, the cheapest place i found is at
www.ukmgparts.com hope this may help any one out inthe same boat.
another thing i found out is rpi www.v8engines.com do a mod so you can fit the newer (cheaper) type air flow meter to 3.9v8.
if you go ahead and try it let me know how it works out, i emailed the company last week but stillw aiting for a reply on cost of parts etc.
hope this helps, also remember you dont pay uk vat (gst) so that helps cover the postage.

How much did u end up paying for the new AFM ?

about £200 thats about $460 aussie notes, that includes postage, have not yet recieved it but i dont see any problems, i just used the land rover part number on there web site and it found it straight away.

there are loads of different types mine is err5198 but just read it off the top of your air flow meter, i have just ordered a parts manuel, so if you have no luck finding it let me know your spec ie engine size year cat or no cat etc and i will look it up once the book arrives.
