View Full Version : Anyone got a 12pin NATO/Army plug? And possibly cable for No5 Trailer?

Well. Buying a No5 trailer. Need a 12pin plug as when the previous owner got it delivered, the ‘delivery person’ let the plug drag along the ground, half destroying it... I can likely still use as the inside is still ok but a replacement would be better... PM if you have one for sale or post if you know of cheap stock somewhere!
Also any ideas for decent UV resistant 12 core (or thick) trailer cable to suit (will be wiring up convoy etc). Best if someone has a good/great condition original type cable without black corrosion down the wires.
Cheers,
Dave

This cable - LAPP-21907 - LAPP Olflex Cable, Control Cable, Ethernet Cable & Cable Glands (https://lappaustralia.com.au/en/olflex-robust-210-12g075) - would suit well. It can be found in 1.0mm and 1.5mm conductor size at times, but is not always available. The 7 core shows as available in the larger conductor sizes - will you be using all 12 or just need the basics? The 7 core should suit too if you just want normal lights and even the convoy light. If you want fixed 12 volt to the trailer and the extra earths too, then go for the 12 core.

Found a plug! Tip - look for modded No5 trailers on gumtree and ask for the bits they’ve taken off!

Ended up with this from Lapp:
H07RN-F 12G1,5
It’s awesome and almost identical but with all 12 cores. But $100/5m delivered to WA. Really good stuff and nice service. Thanks for tip that led to this!
