TRAXIDE issue

Had an interesting thing happen today.
I was re wiring some driving lights and putting them on and off for about 30mins. Then I noticed that my Traxide SC80 was flashing. I didn't think I could possibly have dragged the main battery down to 12v.
So I checked the batteries, main, 12.45v, auxiliary at 12.56v.
I started the car and the flashing light went to full on. No problems since.
Any ideas?

Main battery voltage will have dropped below 12v while you were flicking the lights on. Then the battery voltage recovers when it has no load on it, hence the 12.45V on the main battery when you checked it.

Nothing to worry about.

Not a Traxide "issue" . Just normal battery behaviour.

As above, you will have to have had your ignition turned on to be able to turn your headlights on, to test your driving lights.

Having your ignition on will be drawing a huge current load from your batteries and as stated above, this will easily cause your battery voltage to drop to a point where the isolator will turn off.

NOTE, this is actually what we do when we want to test a system. We turn the ignition on and the put the headlights on, on high beam, to create enough load that will drop the battery voltage over a short period of time.

Also note, on quite a few occasions, I have had customers phone me after they have fitted one of my kits, because they have then started their motor and got the small yellow warning triangle displayed on their dash.

In every case, after a short drive, just a couple minutes, the vehicle’s ignition is turned off and the vehicle is locked.

The PARK BRAKE light will stay on for up to 3 minutes, but as soon as it turns off, you can start your motor and the system will have rebooted and all is now good.

I am late to this but did you have the batteries disconnected while rewiring the lights?
Whenever I disconnect the batteries the SC80 flashes until the engine is started, not immediately when the batteries are reconnected.
