electric trailer brake controller set up for 2001 p38

Hi Gents,
I am looking to install an electric brake controller. i have all wiring threaded but got the set up second hand so am now guessing where things go. I think i have most sussed out but googled diagram which looks like the one i have says tap into one of two wires on brake light switch on pedal...was fine till i saw mine has three wires...typical. anyway,just wondering if someone has done this kind of set up before and can point me in the right direction.

Hi Mate

I had to tap into the brake light wiring at the back of the vehicle

The brake pedal switch is digital and only has 5volts across it, the controller needs 12v to work

Hi TheTree (steve), mate i wired up brake controller and tapped into brakelight wiring at rear of car as suggested, worked like a charm...cheers.
