G’day all.
I’ve just rebuilt my rear diff and brakes. The hub free wheels fine when I’ve not got the drum on. However when I put it on it gets progressively tighter to the point of binding.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers
Kim.

Probably incorrect positioning of the return springs on the brake shoes.

Backing plates are handed and the manual isn't to clear (to me anyway) as to what goes where
Your setup seems OK with springs on back/plate side
Some one will chime in with more I'm sure

That looks correct to me for the LH side. The shoe with the anchor plate needs to be the one where forward motion of the vehicle is trying to pull the shoe away from the anchor post.

I am used to series 1's and on those the 11/4" cylinders are for the front wheels and the 1" for the rear but 2's might be different.
I agree with JDNSW that is for the left hand side of the vehicle. You may need to take off a bit of material at each end of the shoes to give allow it to spin freely.

I agree with Bundy that according to catalogues, L/R and PBR, the rear cylinders should be 1", the front 1-1/4" for 10" brakes.
