Hi All,
As the title says. Does anyone on here know this car?
I'm very loosely looking at upgrading the D3 and this is available in Perth. Would be good to know history.

Being a ‘G’ rego it’s recently been issued that rego, so probably not easy to recognise. It’s either had a private plate previously, come in from another state or had its rego lapse.

Well it is a WA supplied vehicle and not interstate.
You can see the LR Dealer service history here Land Rover (https://osh.landrover.com/) you just need the VIN.

Dealers do that a lot. Buy at auction interstate and ship the vehicle back, re-register and flog them. Nothing wrong with that but get a good independent to check it over first.
Forget their "fully workshop checked" crap...... :)

Or had its rear plate fall off on the Forest Hwy and needed new plates. Maybe that was just mine.

Thanks Kelvo.
Had a second look today. It has receipts for the last three services completed in Dunsborough.
It's obviously towed a bit as it's all set up for it. And had upper control arms fitted recently. It looks in good nick and drives well.
On another note, had a funny conversation with the salesman when we looked at it. They had 6 D4s lined up in the yard. 2 x SDV6 and 4 TDV6. Sales guy told me one was a D4 and the others were 'something else'......Took quite a bit of convincing that they were all D4's. Then later he was " are they good? I'm looking for a new car to tow my van when I retire...."
Then later when trying to 'sell' the extended warranty option he told me that one air strut was $5000 so you wouldn'y want to have to replace one with out a warranty.....

Absolutely will get it checked. The fully work shop checked is not worth the paper it's written on (actually the paper was worth more before they wrote on it...)

That almost looks like a clone of my sister and BIL's that they are selling in the next couple of weeks, except theirs has a nudge bar as well as a snorkel.

He could be technically correct in that from 2014 onward they are officially called Discovery and don't show up in "Discovery 4" searches on carsales.
Cheers,

Hey Cripes,
I would be interested if they are looking to sell privately.
Does it have the three battery system and brake controller?

Off the top of my head, it has a dual battery system, but not sure about the brake controller. PM me and I will put you in touch.

What a load of rot, air struts are around 300-500 each from UK suppliers plus freight and taxes. You can replace all 4 for half that. Wish dealers would get their facts right.
Nice ride, facelift D4. Signature lights. Best colour IMHO.
