Good morning.
Nice clear morning in the Tweed.
If stays like this panels painted.
Adding the throttle linkages, found the rod connected to the two firewall brackets, was to short.
600mm long. grabbed the spare one in case I had mixed them up. Same 600mm.
Confussed, as brackets were as per manual, reversed them, but bolts fowled arms.
Still confused, went and measured the two military S2 rods. Mmmm longer at 650mm.
So a grabbed the longer one. Problem solved.
So do the LWB and SWB have different rods ?
Harry, at series rescue, did a wonderful job on my Firewall, joining two to make one good one,
so not using the original one, fitted to Gilbert.
Thanks for your comments.

If I am right on which part you are talking about, there are three listed - 90509558, 531389 and 531388, respectively suffix 'A', suffix 'B' to 'C', and suffix 'D' on. Not different for swb/lwb, but different of course for the diesel and the six.

Paint man went with my Daughter to the Beach for the day.
Longer one perfect, till I tried to add the heater box. Heater box hits rod, before aligning, bolt holes.
So back to the shorter one, make another bracket, re drill holes and fit, Throttle linkage rod to it..
All done, except painting. Tomorrow ????
