Hi guys,
I have an issue with my immobiliser. Had it parked in the drive unlocked. It seems to have activated the passive alarm and though it locks and unlocks the indicators don't flash on entry and the red light for the immobiliser flashes really quick when switched on and off. Had it to my indie specialist who said he could fix it but didn't. Land Rover reckon they can't fix it and two sparkies aren't interested. Any recommendations around Parramatta area would be great

Very first thing is to check fuses under steering column, can't remember exactly which one but it is among one of the lower line of fuses, 10A from memory. Also, if battery is flat or low on charge it will give similar symptoms. Have you checked the main battery??

ToteWell, that's it, pretty much. The only thing is the interior light doesn't come on when you unlock but I'm confidant it'll correct itself. It stopped working a few days into playing up. In all my experience, when the fob battery goes flat it doesn't work. This one still worked which was good. I spoke to Land Rover to get the EKA code and asked him for advice but couldn't help, asked my regular LR specialist who got fed up with my description, asked another LR specialist who assured me he could fix it, so booked it in for a service at the same time. Service done, still problem with immobiliser. Spoke to two sparkies, not interested. Can't tell you how stupid I feel. Had the book open to the right page because EKA instructions are on opposite page. Thanks Tote.

Given the model year, it probably will have the "new" immobiliser system. 10AS been superceded.
However, find the module, probably same place under speedo on firewall, pull the plugs wait an hour (or so) reinstall plugs and see how it goes. ???????????
Cheers

The Tardis had taken to only flashing the blinkers when I lock it and not when I unlock it with either key fob. Admittedly, I didnt drive it for 6 weeks so it was probably cracking the ****s with me. Started driving it again and 2 days later it was all good. As SWMBO said, "It's a Landrover thing"
