View Full Version : Apple CarPlay on 2015 D4?

Hi all,
Just saw an ad on Carsales for a 2015 TDV6 disco with Apple CarPlay? (included photos of screen which looked like normal?). I didn't think they had it and if so how is it done aftermarket?

(Once again apologies for a newbie non-owner question)

It would have been aftermarket, more than likely the Naviplus system main | Online Store (https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-store/Land-Rover-Discovery-4-2012-2016-Factory-Audio-Integrated-Android-Auto-%26-Apple-CarPlay-Package-Kit-p96658106)

The downsides are that while you can retain your steering wheel button controls you loose all the audio controls on the centre console, you also loose the factory Bluetooth hands free (which is one of the best I’ve used) and it’s replaced by that devices.

That does not seem to be correct. See this from someone who has fitted the Naviplus system to a MY16 DISCO4.COM - View topic - CarPlay Retrofit with Factory Display (https://www.disco4.com/forum/carplay-retrofit-factory-display-174083.html?highlight=Carplay)

Plus someone else, DaveJLBI, into a MY15 says BT still works DISCO4.COM - View topic - Enabling Apple CarPlay on Disco 4 HSE 2016 (https://www.disco4.com/forum/enabling-apple-carplay-disco-4-hse-2016-t-177901.html?highlight=Carplay)

Yes, you are correct. I had confused it with their solution for the Lowline base spec model which replaces the top screen with an Android device. Please disregard my above comment.

‘And the rear camera / everything else except sat nav all work fine?
