Howdy, https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
I am looking for some help in locating manufacturers of HF radio antenna mounts / brackets. I don't want to locate the antenna on the bullbar. I am after something which utilises the rear wheel carrier or if anyone has any other suggestions??

Another place to mount the HF antenna is just to the right of the top door hinge on the rear (just above the window). There's a strengthening bracket here for the hinge which would also supply the extra strength needed to hold an antenna.
The only thing to note is that you're going to need a sprung base if you want to stick it there.

Using that as a guide, would be quite easy to make one if he had own tools.
How much is the Kaymar worth out of interest ?

I have a Kaymar mount that attaches to the spare wheel mount and comes through the centre of the spare.
I don't know how much they are new, I paid $60 2nd hand. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

P.S If you would like a pic, PM your e-mail address & I'll send to you. (still don't know how to post pics)

Unfortunately, I do not have a swing away spare wheel mount or a Kaymar HF mount would be great. Also I reside just outside Melbourne otherwise I would take you up on your offer Phil - Discowhite.
I am looking for a HF mount which utilses the existing spare wheel mount on the rear door.

Electric Bug in Adelaide makes them to fit the std wheel carrier.
Give them a call....They'll ship to Vic...
Or in Vic email this guy ian@idhinternational.com.au

He makes shovel holders etc for vehicles and would surely knock together a nice HF mount cheap.
Cheers
Mike
