Does anyone use Brunsgaard mirrors on their L405. I had a set on my 2012 SDV6 sport and found them sensational but they don’t fit my 2016 L405.
Ive found some threads in AULRO where others are using them on Discos and are equally impressed.

If not Brunsgaard what do you recommend for the L405 please.

I have the Brunsgaard on my L494. They fit well and exceptionally good to use. I like that you can take them off, then put them back on and they retain their setup. If you are having strife talk with Kel Oleson who is the importer, he is very generous with his time and good clues on the setup. One thing he advised for me was to definitely use the sandpaper like grip pad and also ensure that the 'hooks' properly engage on the housing. With his help on the fitting the only way to get the mirrors off is to undo the pressure pad or swipe the entire mirror housing.
Cheers, Simmo

Thanks Simmo, yes I’ve been in touch with Kel and as you say he is very quick to respond and help. He has sent me a list of bits I need to convert my existing mirrors to fit the L405 ... all of $52 inc freight so just waiting on them to arrive. I agree the Brunsgaard are a great choice & so easy to fit & remove in seconds [emoji106]

FYI ...Brunsgaard aren’t “strap on”
Mine survived 2 laps of Aus on my 2012 SDV6 Sport. Can’t fault them [emoji106]

I have various types of these "add on" mirrors that I have to use on my D2a because clearview don't make them for the D2's and they are absolute crap compared to the clearview mirrors fitted to my 79 series and my Navara.
The clearviews don't rattle and vibrate and on the Navara I also have the power adjust as well.
If you haven't tried using the clearviews which incidently you can pull in and out so that they don't make your car look like a big eared kid with a new haircut like the add on's do then don't know what you are missing out on.
Also with most of the add on mirrors IF you take them off road and hit stuff with them they usually smash or sometimes cause door damage as well, The clearviews simply fold back.
The add on mirrors are Cheap for a very good reason[bigwhistle]

Apparently you haven’t tried Brunsgaard , They are certainly not cheap but they don’t rattle or fall off , worked well also on my 3 past Range Rovers ( for approx 60000 klm) with elec fold in mirrors. I appreciate that you love the clear views mirrors ... they are a good thing however I’m way more than just happy with Brunsgaards [emoji106]

Used them on my L322 towing a Bushtracker van and never had an issue.

I used Milenco Aero 3 ( not the Grand model) on mine when I had the van. Attached them to below the mirror rather than on top. Worked well, easy on and off, just need to make sure you tighten them sufficiently. Power folding still worked, just. Blind spot monitoring still worked most of the time.... probably would work better if I put them on top. Easy to modify the length of the arms to suit your width, with a hacksaw. only $100 or thereabouts for a pair.
