His book was a great read , and considering that the 4 most experienced QANTAS A380 pilots were in the cockpit , lucky the outcome was a good one otherwise QANTAS would have suffered a huge loss of experience. sadly there seems to be some who didn't believe what happened as the data recorders were on a loop so by the time they got it safely landed it had wiped many of the logged faults , even if it wasn't as bad as he said , it was still an amazing effort by all on the flight deck.
Cheers Ean

Hi Ean. Only the CVR was overwritten. The DFDR stores about 120 hrs of data, and was intact with all data [emoji846] They also have WDAR, which stores data of a significantly higher resolution than the DFDR. This was also intact.
