Well I took on my 1st 2 wheeled project(s) and a 3 wheeled project today [emoji38]
After scrapping a couple of cars for some decent money these little buggers showed up, my wife's friend was selling them and she made the mistake of sending me a photo [emoji23]
So $500 for 5 bikes I just couldn't resist,
An RM 100, klt 200 3 wheeler, Honda postie bike I think it's a 90cc, a homemade POS and a littke red kawasaki that i have no clue about.
The RM and KLT need the least work but i think the KLT will fire pretty easy. I reckon its done stuff all hours having kids around it. I haven't really had a great look but ill get out tomorrow and check them out properly.

Cheers Jim

There's a couple of projects there mate.

Firstly, toss the trike, dangerous bloody things they are.

RM would make a fun VMX bike and that postie bike would be endless fun for all sorts of things like tiddler touring/adventure bike, scrapheap challenge, postie GP[biggrin]

Now that Kawasaki, that would be Kawasaki's entry into the world of motorcycles.

I think the little red one is a honda and the POS is a bombadier.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190616/8bb3970ad8638f3158e454158deec7ca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190616/adece2c3a1c9aa7ea51fa1397f1f6042.jpg

The red ones definitely a kawasaki it says on the motor and tank and the little postie bike is definitely a honda.
Ill look into the POS one it may be a mini bike frame.
Cheers

Thanks for the info on the kawasaki, put me on the right path.
Im gonna keep the trike and fix it up, how often it gets ridden is another thing. Im pretty confident on trikes and quads and know their dangers, but it will be for show mainly.
Im keen to get the kawasaki and postie bike running but how far i go with restoration im not too sure.
The RMs probably going to be sold, MX bikes arnt my thing really.

Wanna get home already and check them out in the daylight!

Cheers

Alright so i pulled the bikes out of the trailer this arvo, so im pretty sure i know what ive got now.
The ones I knew are the RM 100 and the KLT 200 the other 3 are..
A honda ct90 postie bike
The POS is a homemade running a victa engine.
And the red kawasaki is actually a G1 which im pretty pleased with, i think its my fave out of the lot.
Id like to get the kawasaki back on the road if parts are available, its a pretty nice looking bike.

The 3wheeler looks pretty tidy I would love to have a project like that.
I had a Honda 110 growing up - it is still on the farm.
Always wanted a KLT Tecate 250. Had a ride on the Honda TRX 200 and 250r as a teenager as well as a few other lesser ones.
If I had the coin I would be importing the kits to convert the Husqvarna 2 stroke to 3wheelers. Most people hate 3 wheelers but I loved them and miss them.
Nothing like hitting a flat corner, drifting sideways hanging a few inches off of the ground.
Good luck with the projects keep us posted to the progress of them.

I have a honda 250 quad, im convinced it started life as a 3 wheeler but it could be a really early trx. Its only a banger for the farm but I did replace the piston in it, still needs alot of work but like I said its just a POS.
Dont know when the projects will officially start, the project list is clogging up. I just built a carport to home the falcon so i can one day paint it because the series 3 owns the garage [emoji23]
But i will be trying to get the trike running at least in the meantime and looking for some tyres.
Thank very much
Cheers jim

That is very possible - in the late 80's their were kits to convert 3wheelers to 4 wheelers. In the 80's Yamaha had a fat wheel motorcycle (Big Wheel 200) and Honda the FAT CAT 200) and some people were making them into 3 wheelers by putting the 3 wheeler to 4 wheeler conversion front end on them.

Its a 2 valve engine instead of the four valve like the big reds had, I really struggled to find a new piston for it. The guy who honed the bore out almost had to re-sleeve it but eventually tracked down a piston from middle earth. The other option was flat top the piston but being a farm bike I didnt wanna have to run 98 through it all the time.

The kits were pretty cool though, probably too many people getting hurt from the trikes.

Today I tried hooking up 12v to the trike but couldn't get a fart out of it. I haven't really sussed it out but i think theres a fuse on the starter relay, otherwise gotta track down the fuses....

Cheers

Ok so I found some specs on the kawasaki G. Its got to be the G1L with a few mx bits on it. Chrome tank, seat shape, suerlube system and rear pegs but the frame numbers dont quite make sence. Mine says G1 with 7 digits but its should say G1L by the looks of the specs.
Smallest 2 person bike ive ever seen with a whopping 8.2 HP [emoji23]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190618/ce7768c8f3c9b258f3b626e5c76c1dbf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190618/d18d3e5b8b558eba26dc6ba993ce2e4d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190618/9eb786920862fb9d6bf19caa9007605c.jpg
